Selection & Comparison

Compare materials and formats against your process requirements.

Fusing machine belt selection

PTFE Fusing Machine Belts: Surface Finish, Splice and Tracking Selection

Select a garment fusing belt by release surface, splice profile and machine fit. Compare fabric marking, adhesive build-up and tracking with a controlled sample trial.

Heat sealer material selection

PTFE Fabric and Tape for Heat Sealers: Thickness, Adhesive and Failure Diagnosis

Choose PTFE fabric and tape for heat sealers by backing thickness, adhesive layout and contact conditions. Diagnose sticking, wrinkles and local wear before replacing.

UV curing belt selection

PTFE Mesh Conveyor Belts for UV Curing: A Process-Based Selection Guide

Select a PTFE mesh conveyor belt for UV curing by part support, heat exposure, usable width and machine fit. Plan the measurements needed before approving a replacement.

PTFE belt joint selection

PTFE Conveyor Belt Joints: How to Choose the Right Splice

Choose a PTFE belt splice by contact profile, airflow, pulley geometry and installation access. Compare joint types and prepare a machine-specific belt specification.

Dehydrator mesh selection

How to Choose Dehydrator Mesh Sheets: Aperture, Open Area and Food Support

Choose dehydrator mesh sheets by aperture, open area, food support and tray fit, with practical guidance for comparing samples in your drying process.

Material comparison

Silicone vs PTFE: Choosing a Non-Stick Material

Choose between silicone and PTFE mats by comparing release, grip, thickness and heat exposure, with product options for baking, drying and process liners.

Baking mat comparison

Silicone Fiberglass Baking Mats vs Baking Mesh

Compare silicone fiberglass baking mats and baking mesh: continuous vs open surfaces, dough support, moisture release, base texture and tray fit.

Mesh material comparison

Silicone-Coated PET Mesh vs Fiberglass Mesh: Which Fits Your Process?

Choose silicone-coated PET or fiberglass mesh for drying, steaming and baking. Compare the reinforcement, heat exposure, mesh openings and finished edges before ordering.

Use & maintenance

Care & Troubleshooting

Match handling and cleaning to the finished material and its operating conditions.

  1. Sticking or residue? Compare the cleaning method, recipe and processing cycle with the last successful use.
  2. Curling or poor fit? Check the cooled mat against the tray dimensions, support and storage method.
  3. Damaged coating or exposed yarns? Remove the damaged mat from product-contact service and review replacement.

Buyer questions

Common sourcing questions.

Start with the information you know. We can help identify what needs to be confirmed.

Prepare your inquiry →
Which material should I choose: silicone or PTFE?

Shortlist silicone when a compliant release surface and tray grip matter; shortlist PTFE when release with low sliding friction is the priority. Choose continuous or open construction around product retention and airflow, then compare the selected product specifications.

Can SIFMAT make parts to a drawing?

Custom cutting and fabrication can be considered from a drawing or dimensional brief, including shapes, holes, reinforcement, adhesive backing and lamination where suitable.

Are food-contact options available?

Food-contact options are available for relevant product grades. Confirm the product, intended use and destination market so the appropriate FDA or LFGB requirements and documentation can be reviewed.

What information helps with a quotation?

Provide the application, dimensions, quantity, operating temperature, contact materials, equipment conditions, required compliance and target delivery date.
